Leeds Mencap is an independent charity providing specialist practical, emotional and social support to around 600 children, young people with learning disabilities and autism and their families. From our purpose-built centre in Leeds we deliver specialist services including youth clubs and playschemes and an Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ community nursery with specialist playroom for children with complex needs. All our work is underpinned by a Family Support Service that helps parents meet some of the biggest challenges that come with having a child with additional needs.

Leeds Mencap works with children and young people up to the age of 30 years who have moderate to severe learning disabilities or autism. We believe that all people with a learning disability, their families and carers are valued, included and respected in society, and can live the life they choose.
