Core Telecom Supports The Endometriosis Foundation’s Women’s Run Series

At Core Telecom, we are committed to supporting initiatives that make a tangible difference in society. When we learned about The Endometriosis Foundation’s Women’s Run Series, we knew it was a cause we had to stand behind. Endometriosis is a chronic disease that affects millions of women worldwide, yet it remains incurable. Spreading awareness about this condition is crucial, and the Women’s Run Series was a powerful platform to educate and advocate for those affected.

A Timely Event for a Vital Cause

The event was organised to coincide with International Women’s Day and Endometriosis Awareness Month, further reinforcing the need for attention on women’s health issues. As a company that values social responsibility and well-being, we proudly sponsored the two-day event in London. The initiative included a meet-and-greet on 6th March 2025 and a run event on 8th March, bringing together people from different walks of life to champion this important cause.

Engaging with Experts and Advocates

On Wednesday, 6th March, Core Telecom representatives Allison Clarke, Head of Global Sales, and Isabel Norton, Charity Liaison Officer, attended the launch event at Parliament. The session featured speeches from parliamentarians, medical experts, and specialists who provided valuable insights into endometriosis and its impact on women’s lives. A key discussion point was the delayed diagnosis of endometriosis, particularly among minority communities, shedding light on the disparities in healthcare access and treatment.

The Parliament event also served as a networking platform where we engaged with various charities, learning about their ongoing efforts and discussing how Core Telecom could further support such initiatives. We were able to share information about our sponsorship, advocating for innovative ways to reduce costs for charities working to improve women’s health and well-being.

Mahmood Mazhar, CEO of Core Telecom, expressed his support for the cause, stating: “I’m proud to support The Endometriosis Foundation and the incredible work they’re doing to raise awareness. I’ve been good friends with Carla since she founded the organisation, and it’s been inspiring to witness the progress she has made. Education on women’s health is necessary, and I hope that through our support, we can contribute to greater awareness and improved treatment for endometriosis.”

A Day of Empowerment and Awareness

On Saturday, 8th March, over 1,000 women from across the UK participated in the Women’s Run Series, demonstrating solidarity and support for those battling endometriosis. The event featured two categories: a 5K and a 10K run, allowing participants of all fitness levels to get involved. Isabel Norton from Core Telecom took part in the 5K run and impressively completed the course in just 25 minutes.
The sunny weather added to the enthusiasm of the day, as the streets of London were filled with energetic participants and supporters. Many prominent women’s charities, including Breast Cancer Now, Women’s Aid, and Action Aid, joined the event, raising awareness about their respective causes. Their presence reinforced the collective need to advocate for better healthcare, support systems, and policy changes for women’s health issues.

A Step Towards a Healthier Future

The Women’s Run Series was more than just an athletic event—it was a movement towards awareness, education, and empowerment. It served as a reminder that women’s health issues need more attention, funding, and research. The event successfully educated attendees, not just about endometriosis but about the broader struggles women face in healthcare.

There was no better time than International Women’s Day to highlight the importance of gender equality in medical research and treatment. Women deserve a healthier, brighter future, and through continued advocacy and support, we can work towards closing the gaps in healthcare accessibility and awareness.

Core Telecom is proud to have been a part of this impactful event, and we remain committed to supporting initiatives that drive positive change in society. We look forward to continuing our partnership with The Endometriosis Foundation and similar organisations in the future, ensuring that more voices are heard and more lives are positively impacted.

Together, we can create a better tomorrow.
