Yorkshire CEO to cycle 3,500 miles from Norway to Spain in two-week £100,000 European charity bike challenge
In July 2026, Martin Mansell, CEO of EnjoyTravel.com and the force behind the epic ‘Yorkshire Beast’ charity challenges, will take on his most ambitious mission yet – a 3,500-mile (5,400km) ride from Nordkapp, the northernmost point of mainland Europe, all the way down to Tarifa, Spain, its southernmost tip.
Known for his ambitious charity challenges that push the limits of human endurance – the team raised £55,000 this year in a seven-day 1,100-mile race from Leeds to Nice – Yorkshire entrepreneur Martin will be joined by an extraordinary team of world-class endurance cyclists.
Mark Beaumont, who holds the world record for both cycling around the world in less than 80 days and cycling the length of Africa, Jenny Graham – world record-breaker for cycling unsupported around the world – and Hamish Graham also from Yorkshire, who has previously raced across Europe in 2025 with Martin will join the challenge again.

The riders will attempt to complete the full length of Europe, travelling through seven countries in just over two weeks, averaging 220-miles per day, in what will be the biggest Yorkshire Beast challenge to date. Named ‘Race Europe’, the team will face 24-hour daylight above the Arctic Circle, remote sub-zero temperatures, major Alpine climbs, and the scorching heat of southern Spanish heartlands and mountains in the peak of summer.
“This is going to be a huge test of resilience, teamwork and mental toughness,” said Martin, CEO of EnjoyTravel.com. “To complete the 1,100-mile ride from Leeds to Nice in just under seven days was extremely difficult and unlike anything I’d ever done before, but I wanted to go bigger this year to cycle the length of the entire continent.
“We’ll be riding ultra-distances day after day through extreme conditions, and despite having some great endurance athletes by my side it will still be an incredibly hard challenge for us all.
“To do this for these incredible charities that change people’s lives will be the purpose that will get us through the hardest moments.”

The Race Europe challenge attempts to raise £100,000 split between two life-changing charities:
- My Name’5 Doddie Foundation, funding pioneering research into Motor Neurone Disease and supporting families living with the disease.
- Yorkshire Children’s Charity, supporting children living with disability and hardship across the region with essential equipment and emergency resources.
This endurance challenge follows the success of the 2024 and 2025 Yorkshire Beast challenges – one four-day 460-mile cycle across Yorkshire which raised £16,000, and a seven-day 1,100-mile race from Leeds to Nice, where the team battled through the French Alps overnight to raise more than £55,000 for Yorkshire Candlelighters and Alzheimer’s Society.
