Volunteer to help shape the future of work for young people in Bradford
The EY Foundation is inviting volunteers from local employers and SMEs to support Beyond Horizons, a new pilot careers programme reimagining work experience for Year 8 students (aged 12–13) in Bradford.
Beyond Horizons is designed to give young people meaningful encounters with the world of work, helping them to discover their strengths, build confidence, raise aspirations, and explore a wide range of career routes at an earlier stage in their education.
Volunteers can:
- Join a Breaking Barriers careers panel in a Bradford school, sharing their career journey and answering students’ questions
We welcome volunteers from a wide range of sectors and career paths across Bradford and West Yorkshire, including finance and professional services.
Hearing real, diverse career stories helps young people broaden their understanding of the world of work and imagine future possibilities they may not yet have considered.
Dates:
- Breaking Barriers Panel (22nd April, 13th May, 3rd and 9th June)
Location: Bradford District
How does the EY Foundation support?
The EY Foundation is an independent charity founded by EY in 2014, supporting young people from low‑income backgrounds to access employment. We provide all coordination, briefing and support for volunteers, and work closely with young people to ensure activities are impactful and inclusive.
