Skopes and Astonish show support for St Gemma’s Winter Ball

Skopes and Astonish have joined as partners for the St Gemma’s Winter Ball this November. Their backing will help bring to life one of the hospice’s flagship fundraising events and raise vital funds for end-of-life care across the city.

Skopes, the Leeds menswear brand, is supporting the hospice event for the fourth year. The circus-themed Winter Ball will take place on 28 November 2026 at the Royal Armouries, bringing together businesses and supporters from across the city for an evening of entertainment, dining and fundraising.

“It is wonderful to be supporting St Gemma’s Hospice and the Winter Ball for another year. Seeing the support on the evening is always incredible, and with Astonish joining as a new sponsor, we look forward to raising even more this year,” said Simon Cope, Managing Director at Skopes.

Astonish, the Leeds-based cleaning brand, is proudly joining the hospice fundraising event for the first time.

“At Astonish, we’re incredibly proud to be part of this event and support the amazing work of St Gemma’s Hospice, a truly special part of the local community. The care and compassion they provide to patients and their families brings comfort when it matters most, and we’re honoured to support the vital work they do,” said Howard Moss, owner of Astonish.

In 2025, the evening raised more than £98,000 for St Gemma’s care in Leeds. With the support of the Royal Armouries, guests can expect all the magic of the big top, while funds raised on the night will help St Gemma’s continue providing compassionate specialist care across the city.

“St Gemma’s is navigating a challenging time. Costs are rising and demand for our specialist care continues to grow, making it increasingly difficult to fund our services. That’s why we are so grateful for this support, which helps us deliver incredible events that enable our supporters to raise vital funds for patient care,” said Kate Goldring, Chief Enterprise and Communications Officer at St Gemma’s Hospice.
