Notre Dame students celebrate outstanding Level 3 results

Students at Notre Dame Catholic Sixth Form College are celebrating another year of outstanding results across A-levels, BTECs, CTECs and T Levels.

The class of 2026 has achieved an impressive set of results, with students securing places at leading universities, progressing to apprenticeships and preparing to take their next steps into employment.

Among this year’s highlights are:

A-levels

• 1,612 high grades (A*-B) achieved
• 99.5% pass rate
• 794 A and A* grades awarded

BTECs and CTECs

• 750 high grades (D*-M) achieved
• 100% of students studying BTEC Applied Science, Digital Games Design and Musical Theatre achieved a high grade (D*-M)
• 100% of students studying CTEC Health & Social Care, Sport, and Design (Interior and Architecture) achieved a high grade (D*-M)

The results reflect the hard work and determination of students, alongside the support of their families and the commitment of Notre Dame staff.

Students secure places at Oxford and Cambridge

Ten Notre Dame students have secured places at the University of Oxford or the University of Cambridge this year, following their success in the College’s Enhancing Excellence programme.

The programme supports students with high academic potential who are considering applications to Oxford, Cambridge and other top 30 universities, as well as competitive courses such as Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Science.

Students benefit from a range of opportunities throughout their time at College, including academic lectures, guest speakers, mock interviews and dedicated support with university applications.

T Level students celebrate success

Notre Dame’s T Level students are also celebrating strong results, with 100% of students studying T Level Health and T Level Digital Software Development achieving a high grade (D-M).

T Levels combine classroom-based learning with valuable industry placements, giving students the opportunity to develop practical skills and gain experience in their chosen sector.

The qualifications provide a strong foundation for students looking to progress to university, apprenticeships or employment, while developing the knowledge and skills valued by employers.

Looking ahead

Results Day marked an important moment for students as they celebrated their achievements and confirmed their next steps.

Representatives from Leeds Trinity University and Leeds Beckett University were also at College to meet students who had secured university offers, providing final advice and support ahead of the start of the new academic year.

The College will now look ahead to welcoming its new cohort of students following GCSE Results Day next week.
