RSPCA York, Harrogate & District Branch is an independent animal welfare charity running York Animal Home, a rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming centre for dogs and cats. We provide shelter, veterinary care, behavioural support and find loving new homes for the animals. We also promote responsible pet ownership through welfare advice, neutering, microchipping and lost-and-found services. As a self-funded charity, we rely on local fundraising, donations, grants and our charity shops. We engage with our community to raise awareness of animal welfare and encourage kindness, empathy and responsible pet ownership, including among children and young people.
