£130,000 invested to help Bradford communities thrive together
GiveBradford have invested nearly £130,000 in 9 Bradford community organisations through The Thrive Together Fund! The programme is our partnership with The National Lottery Community Fund, made possible thanks to National Lottery players.
The Thrive Together Fund aims to develop inclusive places, spaces and activities for people who are least able to come together. The goal is to build positive relationships, improve mental and physical wellbeing and strengthen the community.
The organisations that were awarded funding are:
> Beyond the Margin
> Hollings Youth Association
> The Anchor Project
> African Caribbean Achievement Project (ACAP)
> Connecting Roma CIC
> BEACON
> Bradford South Asian Heritage Forum CIC
> SEND Salaam CIC
> Upcycle Art CIC
The funded activities include:
- Delivering 12-week programmes to support women who have experienced, or are experiencing, domestic abuse.
- Running a variety of programmes and workshops to encourage local people to connect to their shared urban environment.
- A fortnightly creative wellbeing programme for women experiencing poverty, discrimination and isolation.
- Providing a safe, welcoming and culturally sensitive space for parents and carers of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
This round marks the first of The Thrive Together Fund, and the start of a 3-year partnership with The National Lottery Community Fund that will see over £300,000 invested in Bradford communities.
