Bradford District and Craven Mind’s Workplace Wellbeing Movement

Yorkshire Building Society and TL Dallas are among the first businesses to join the Workplace Wellbeing Movement, a programme for businesses led by Bradford District and Craven Mind.

Bradford District and Craven Mind (BDC Mind) are a local mental health charity that support people of all ages with their mental health and wellbeing. They also help local businesses with their Workplace Wellbeing by providing Mental Health Training for employers.

Myriam Barker, Head of Income Generation at BDC Mind shared:

“We recognise the barriers and challenges faced by employers today and we want to provide a support to local businesses that are passionate about workplace wellbeing. We believe creating a positive attitude to mental health in the workplace is key for employees and businesses to thrive.”

The Workplace Wellbeing Movement brings together businesses passionate about mental health. Members get access to complementary training and learning resources to support employee wellbeing in the workplace.

Investing in workplace wellbeing also makes economic sense. On average, employers obtain a return of £5 for every £1 invested in workplace wellbeing initiatives. Benefits to businesses investing in workplace wellbeing could include reduced staff turnover, improved working relationships and an enhanced workplace culture.

Pippa David, Team Leader at TL Dallas said:

We have experienced first-hand the positive impact of improving our workplace wellbeing and embedding wellbeing practices into the culture of our company. We are excited to be a part of the movement and learning how we can create the biggest impact across the group.”

The Workplace Wellbeing Movement welcomes businesses of all sizes to join. As it is run by Bradford District and Craven Mind, 100% of your investment goes back into helping us support people with their mental health and wellbeing. The charity is proud to report that 87p from every £1 it receives is spent on charitable efforts.

Thomas Nadin, Director at Few and Far has joined the movement and said:

“As a business that helps mental health charities directly, it’s important to us to ensure our focus is as much on ourselves as those we help. It means a lot to the whole team to be part of the Movement to make more workplaces environments where people thrive.”
