Consultation opens for York Minster Precinct Neighbourhood Forum redesignation- Have your say on the future of planning in the Minster Precinct area
City of York Council is inviting York residents, businesses, and stakeholders to share their views on the redesignation of the York Minster Precinct Neighbourhood Forum. This follows the Forum’s application to renew its designation, which was first granted in 2019 for a five-year term.
The York Minster Precinct Neighbourhood Forum has played a pivotal role in shaping the area’s development through its Neighbourhood Plan, adopted in June 2022. This plan serves as a key guide for planning decisions in the Minster Precinct, working alongside national and local policies. The redesignation would enable the Forum to continue overseeing the implementation of this plan, ensuring the area’s development respects its heritage while meeting future needs.
The consultation is open now and runs until to Wednesday 29 January 2025, closing at 11.59pm. Feedback from the community is vital to help determine the Forum’s next steps.
How to Get Involved:
- Review the application and supporting documents online at www.york.gov.uk/planning-policy/minster-precinct-neighbourhood-plan.
