Law firm cements sports portfolio with five Rugby League club partnerships
Chadwick Lawrence Solicitors continues to strengthen its presence across professional Rugby League in Yorkshire, with five club partnerships for the 2026 season.
The firm has long-standing relationships with Leeds Rhinos, Bradford Bulls and Wakefield Trinity, and in recent years has built on this through partnerships with Huddersfield Giants and Castleford Tigers.
This year, the firm is marking two decades of supporting Leeds Rhinos, having committed to a further 12 months of sponsorship and legal support in 2025.
As the official legal partner of Leeds Rhinos for over 20 years, Chadwick Lawrence offers regulatory, HR, Corporate and Commercial, Commercial Property, Dispute Resolution and Personal Legal Services to the club, its players and staff, as well as sponsoring matches, hosting an annual joint event, and having a wide range of advertising at AMT Headingley Rugby Stadium.
Chadwick Lawrence’s support extends beyond being the club’s legal partner – the firm offers pro bono assistance to the Leeds Rhinos Foundation, where managing partner Neil Wilson has been a trustee for many years. Neil is also the club’s legal director.
For five years, the firm has been the official legal partner and a major sponsor of Bradford Bulls, offering legal expertise to the team, sponsoring jerseys and supporting the club’s community efforts. This includes leading an inclusive running club at Odsal Stadium every Monday evening.
Chadwick Lawrence also provides legal, regulatory and HR advice to Wakefield Trinity. The firm has worked with the club for several years in both a legal and sponsorship capacity.
This season, the firm continues its local Rugby League support by sponsoring Huddersfield Giants for a second year. Chadwick Lawrence’s branding will feature prominently at the Accu Stadium, where Huddersfield Giants play, appearing across the home and away dugouts, LED boards and media backdrops, as well as on the club’s website.
The partnership with Castleford Tigers sees the firm provide legal support across sports, employment, and immigration law for the next two seasons, handling matters such as advising on player and staff contracts and supporting the club with HR and employment compliance.
Neil Wilson, managing partner at Chadwick Lawrence, said: “Supporting professional sports clubs in Yorkshire has been central to Chadwick Lawrence for many years, as a proud champion of regional businesses.
“As the new season kicks off, we look forward to helping our clients navigate the changing Rugby League landscape, sharing our expertise from over 20 years of working with leading clubs such as Leeds Rhinos.”
Jamie Jones-Buchanan MBE, CEO of Leeds Rhinos, commented: “Chadwick Lawrence has been a trusted partner of Leeds Rhinos for two decades, and their continued support is a testament to the strength of our relationship.
“Their legal expertise, strategic guidance and understanding of the professional sport landscape have been invaluable to the club both on and off the field. We are proud to continue working together as we head into another exciting season.”
