Provisio Care Group expands with new specialist care home
Leading care provider Provisio Care Group has acquired Moor Park House, a specialist centre dedicated to treating people with complex spinal and brain injuries.
The acquisition of the Preston facility marks a significant milestone in the growth of the business, which now operates three care homes in the North West, as well as a temporary staffing agency Provisio Care Force, and cements its position as a leading specialist care provider in the region.
Commercial law firm Schofield Sweeney advised Provisio on the acquisition, which will see more than 200 staff at Moor Park House become part of the Provisio team.
Moor Park House is a modern, purpose built home which provides both residential and spinal, neuro and complex nursing care, with its Watling Care Centre also offering complex nursing care for adults with acquired brain injuries.
Owais Mohammad, CEO at Provisio, said “This acquisition serves as a landmark in our growth journey and cements our position as a leader in the region for specialist care. We’re really excited about our future and look forward to welcoming more than 200 colleagues and integrating the business into our group.
“I would also like to take the opportunity to thank all of our professional partners who have played an instrumental role in making this happen, including Schofield Sweeney, Gallagher insurance, Triodos Bank and Xeinadin.”
Steven Millward, Corporate Partner at Schofield Sweeney, led a multi-disciplinary team on the acquisition, covering corporate, property, employment and tax.
He said: “We’re delighted to have supported Provisio Care Group on this acquisition. The company is now an established leader in this specialist care field and bringing Moor Park House into the portfolio will see them go from strength to strength – it was a pleasure to work with Owais and the team.”
