Schofield Sweeney advises Galleon Tools Group on latest acquisition 

Yorkshire-based commercial law firm Schofield Sweeney has advised specialist tools distributor Dormole Limited on the acquisition of the business and assets of Rollins and Sons (London) Ltd, marking the latest step in the group’s strategic growth.

A leading supplier and distributor of professional quality hand tools, the acquisition of Rollins and Sons (London) Ltd is set to strengthen Galleon’s supply chain capabilities and bolster long-term growth in the business.

The deal was led by Michael Cantwell, Partner in the Corporate team at Schofield Sweeney. He was supported by a multidisciplinary team of solicitors from the firm’s Corporate, Property and Commercial teams, advising on all aspects of the transaction including the trading business, property and stock.

Dormole Limited is a holding company whose group of businesses date back to 1972. Dormole trades entirely through its subsidiaries, which primarily specialise in the distribution and brand development of hand tools, power tools and related consumables and accessories to resellers.

Related brands and businesses include Toolbank, Faithfull Tools, Forgefix, Olympia Tools, Scan Safety, Harrison & Clough, Tucks Fasteners, and ADP Diamond Cutting Solutions as well as the group’s three distribution businesses CDL, CDL Sheffield and CDL EU.  Dormole’s customer base includes trade, industrial and agricultural merchants, buying groups, specialist DIY and hardware stores, and online retailers.
