Seasonal attractions added at Yorkshire Garden Centres

Two Yorkshire garden centres have added a Pumpkin Patch to their popular play attractions.

Yorkshire Garden Centres has launched the venture in the outdoor play areas at Grass Hoppers at Tong and Tingley Garden Centres.

Visitors to both centres have the option to pick their own pumpkin to take home and are given a stencil to help them carve a design in the Yorkshire-grown gourds.

“Following the success of our ‘Spooktacular’ Halloween Parties, we introduced pumpkin picking to Grass Hoppers at Tong for the first time last year, and it was so popular that we have brought it to Tingley this year. Everybody loves selecting their own pumpkin and discussing how they will decorate them for Halloween”, said Ben Halmshaw, manager at Grass Hoppers at Tingley Garden Centre.

The price depends on the size of the pumpkin and start at £2.49 in addition to the Grass Hoppers entry cost.

This year’s ‘Spooktacular Playtime Parties’ take place at 2.45 pm on 31st October at both Tong and Tingley Garden Centres. Follow the link for more information: https://bit.ly/YGCHalloween.
