Vintage launch 30th Anniversary custom guitars and basses
Whilst celebrating the company’s 60th anniversary and to celebrate 30 years of its own highly successful Vintage guitar brand of fretted instruments, JHS launched the Vintage Anniversary Series of custom-built guitars and basses at Winter NAMM 2025.
Available from May 2025, all 30th Anniversary limited edition guitars and basses are based on classic models from the popular Vintage ReIssued & Icon Series, and individually created by hand, featuring custom finishes, quality tonewoods and a combination of time tested hardware and pickups from world renowned guitar designers and hardware specialists, Trev Wilkinson and Alan Entwistle.
Combining the 30th anniversary theme of pearl and the colour green, these instruments showcase the design features, branded hardware and value that the Vintage design team has promoted for the past 30 years.
The double cutaway mahogany bodied VS6 is a fine example, finished in a stunning Green Metallic Flake, with a bound rosewood fingerboard with block pearl inlays, Graphtech nut and Wilkinson hardware which includes WJ44 machine heads, Platinum Series double coil pickups, a Tune-O-Matic bridge and Vintage engraved classic style vibrato system.

Green again, although now within a beautiful Greenburst witnessed on the exquisite single cutaway V100 with its bound mahogany body capped with a figured maple veneer top and 22 fret bound rosewood fingerboard with block pearl inlays. Gold hardware includes Wilkinson WJ303 machineheads, Tune-O-matic bridge and tailpiece, whilst a pair of Wilkinson Platinum Series WVC double coil pickups with CTS pots, shout with power, tone and clarity for a performance that’s perfect for a wide range of musical styles from warm jazz, to hard edged distortion.

The green theme continues with the glorious Vintage V65, emblazoned with a visually striking high gloss Ventura Green finish over its off-set USA alder body with matching headstock. Cream coloured Entwistle AJ90A alnico pickups are custom wired with Entwistle’s ATN 5 way switching system and CTS pots, whilst matching control knobs compliment the tortoise shell scratchplate. Hardware includes Wilkinson EZ Lok machine heads, Graphtech nut, roller bridge and smooth vintage style vibrato.
With its bright jangly tone, 21 fret bound rosewood fingerboard pearl block inlays, the V65 looks super cool and a delight to perform with.

The charms of the Vintage V6’s one-piece flame maple neck and 22 fret bound fingerboard with pearl block inlays, the USA alder body with a Gun Hill Blue Metallic distressed finish over Sunburst, offset with an cream pearl scratchplate, all equate to the captivating aesthetics of this workhorse, tone-laden solid bodied double cutaway guitar.
With a pair of Wilkinson Platinum series WVS alnico pickups, prized for their clarity and classic single coil output and tone, installed at the neck and middle positions, and a high output Wilkinson Platinum Series double coil pickup with push-push split coil facilities at the bridge and CTS pots, the V6 is indeed the perfect choice for blues, rock, country and everything else in between.
With distressed Wilkinson chrome J55 machine heads, Graphtech nut and WV6 vibrato with ‘stagger drilled’ block, tuning, intonation and zero return to pitch, are never going to be a problem for the Vintage 30th Anniversary V6.

Finished in an impeccably applied high gloss Black finish, the natural tonewood characteristics of the semi-hollow f-holed V72’s USA alder body with cream binding, maple neck and 22 fret bound fingerboard with block pearl inlays, are highlighted via a Wilkinson Platinum Series Soapbar pickup sited at the neck to enhance warm rhythmic overtones and a high output Platinum Series WVC double coil at the bridge and CTS pots for soaring cutting edge solos.
Looking sleek with its green pearl scratchplate and chrome hardware that includes Wilkinson WJ55 machine heads, WVFS hardtail bridge and Graphtech nut the V72 is another fine and unique addition to this limited edition run of Vintage 30th Anniversary guitars.

This milestone has been honoured with this beautiful anniversary VJ74, looking fabulous finished in high gloss British Racing Green, offset with a cream pearl scratchplate, maple neck and 22 fret maple fingerboard, with black binding and block position markers also in black.
