Walker Sime launches new regeneration delivery service

Walker Sime, the Leeds-based multi-disciplinary construction consultancy, has announced the launch of a dedicated Regen Delivery service.

The launch of the dedicated service comes in response to the increasing demands for regeneration initiatives, driven by government funding for Levelling Up, Long Term Plan for Towns, Future High Street and Sustainable Transport Settlement Funds.

Aimed at assisting Private Developers and Local Authorities in driving forward regeneration projects to improve towns, cities, and neighbourhoods across the UK, the new service will be led by the experienced Cathy Palmer, who has a rich background in delivering regen projects that positively impact communities.

Cathy joins as the former Head of Regeneration Delivery at Wirral Council where she led Birkenhead’s once-in-a-generation transformation programme. She is passionate about place-based regeneration and ensuring communities are at the heart of delivery.

The service will offer a wide range of support including project mobilisation, investment plans, business case development, delivery strategies, governance, grant funding advice, bid support, procurement strategy, project planning and risk management, making it a significant offer in the industry.

The Regen Delivery service will draw on the skilled specialist teams at Walker Sime including Quantity Surveying, Project Management, Cost Management, Employers Agent, and Bills of Quantities at the consultancy. This comprehensive approach is designed to provide wide-ranging support to clients as they navigate the complexities of regeneration projects.

With her wealth of experience, Cathy will lead the service, providing expertise in creating major mixed used developments helping energise areas making them more vibrant places to live, work and visit.

“I am excited to lead the Regen Delivery service at Walker Sime and look forward to collaborating with Private Developers and Local Authorities to bring about positive transformative change in communities.

We are already seeing significant interest from several authorities and developers, and I am confident that our expertise and comprehensive approach will help drive successful regeneration initiatives in our communities.” said Cathy.
