Yorkshire Wildlife Trust calls business summit to shape the future of wildlife in the region
Yorkshire Wildlife Trust is inviting business and environmental leaders to join them for an exclusive evening at the Guildhall in York to explore the future of nature recovery across Yorkshire.
Together, attendees will discuss the challenges that climate change and biodiversity loss present to organisations, and why acting for nature should be an integral part of a strong ESG strategy.
The event will include:
- Hearing from Yorkshire Wildlife Trust’s team, senior leaders and special guests about the challenges and opportunities facing nature recovery and what it means for your business.
- An engaging panel discussion covering actions for nature and questions about the future of nature recovery in Yorkshire — all in an informal and welcoming setting, with drinks and canapés.
- Networking with fellow business leaders, connecting with like-minded organisations and building relationships with Yorkshire Wildlife Trust’s senior team, including CEO Rachael Bice.
- Showcasing the positive impact we can achieve through partnership for wildlife, people and communities across Yorkshire. There be a particular focus on the Trust’s Nature Recovery Scheme — an ambitious initiative demonstrating how collaborative action can help restore nature, strengthen landscapes and create lasting environmental impact.
Yorkshire Wildlife Trust published the region’s first-ever State of Yorkshire’s Nature report in 2024, followed swiftly by Bringing Yorkshire’s Nature Back in 2025. The 2025 blueprint sets out the pressures our businesses and homes face from climate change and flooding, how Yorkshire can achieve the 30 by 30 government target whilst acknowledging competing uses for our landscape and resources. Our businesses can play a key part in this; from creating green landscape corridors and supporting projects local to them to volunteering time and inspiring staff and partners to make changes in their own lives.
