Carers Leeds provides information, advice and support to all unpaid adult and parent carers across Leeds.

Our service includes our Advice Line, carers support groups, one to one support and support in hospitals. Some of our services are universal – open to all carers – and some are targeted at specific groups of carers. Our services are provided to all communities throughout Leeds. 

20% of the workforce in West Yorkshire care for a loved one whilst being in employment, we call them ‘working carers’.

We facilitate a regular Employer Forum which helps employers to share good practice and stay up to date with national legislation. We help organisations to develop policies and procedures to identify and support carers in the workforce, and provide training for managers.

As an employer of working carers ourselves, we have achieved Carer Confident Ambassador Employer accreditation from Carers UK, joining the likes of BT & HSBC. We can help you to become Carer Confident too!
