EY Foundation – Smart Futures Programme

Support young talent as a business host with the EY Foundation’s Smart Futures Business & Technology programme (23rd – 25th February 2026)

The EY Foundation is looking for a small number of Bradford organisations to host Year 12 students for a short work experience placement from 23rd – 25th February. These young people have taken part in a competitive process to apply, supported by their sixth form or college, and are keen to gain insight into different careers and workplace environments in the local area. During their first week, they’ll take part in a range of employability skills sessions, ready to put their skills into practice in week two, where they are encouraged to apply their learnings in a real working environment.

Who are the EY Foundation?

Established in 2014 by EY, the EY Foundation is an independent charity that works at the intersection of education and employment to close the skills gap and unlock potential for young people from low-income backgrounds. Since its inception, the Foundation has supported over 28,000 young people in England and Scotland to overcome barriers to employment. Last year, the Smart Futures programme in Bradford engaged Year 12 students from six schools and colleges in Bradford, offering immersive workplace visits, skills sessions, and group challenges over an eight-day paid programme.

What are we looking for?

Hosts who can provide a welcoming environment, a short project or set of tasks, and an introduction to their organisation and sector over two and a half days.

How will the EY Foundation support?

All young people receive full pay from the EY Foundation and receive a laptop for work, alongside a bursary for travel expenses and food. EY Foundation staff are on hand to provide hosts with guidance, example activities, and support throughout. If you’re interested in finding out more, please contact Dulcie Hayden (EY Foundation Bradford Programme Manager) at dulcie.hayden@eyfoundation.ey.com.

Thank you for helping to create meaningful opportunities for young people and support future talent across Bradford!
