Governors sought for Leeds & Bradford schools

Would you like to positively impact the lives of young learners in your region whilst gaining board level experience? The Collaborative Learning Trust would love to hear from you.

We’re looking for professionals from a range of backgrounds and disciplines to become governors at two of our schools.

All Saints CE Primary School, Bradford (BD5 0NG)
A thriving multicultural school with over 650 pupils aged 2-11, based in central Bradford across two sites.

Micklefield Primary Academy, Leeds (LS25 4AQ)
A traditional village school, east of Leeds, with 87 pupils.

As a governor you’ll be part of a committee responsible for the school’s vision, strategy and financial performance and you’ll hold the headteacher to account for the school’s educational performance. Governors meet six times per year with additional school visits.

Who can apply?
The roles are open to anyone aged 18+ and we welcome people from all backgrounds and professions to apply.

As a governor you’ll use your expertise, experience and knowledge to make decisions in the best interests of the school community in a challenging education landscape. No prior education experience is required, but a passion to make a difference and play an active part in the governing body’s work is a must.

About the Collaborative Learning Trust
The CLT is a growing Multi-Academy Trust with seven schools across Yorkshire. Children are at the centre of everything we do as we strive to develop lifelong independent learners. Our schools retain autonomy and individual identities whilst being able to access the central services, support and expertise provided by the Trust.

Trustee Vacancy – Financial expert
The Trust is also looking for a finance expert to join our Board – could it be you?

As well as a being one of our Trustees you’ll also sit on our Audit, Risk and Finance Committee.

You’ll play a big role in the strategic direction of our Trust and helping make decisions that benefit our seven schools and their 3,400-plus pupils.

You’ll be asked to attend six Trust Board meetings and five committee meetings per year and be invited to events organised by the Trust and our schools. Meetings take place in Otley or at one of our Leeds or Bradford schools.
