Invitation to support SVH Inc. CIC’s Black History Month event – Potted Conversations

We’re holding a special Black History Month event—a planting workshop and conversation café. The event is designed as a social listening and networking opportunity, bringing together Harrogate’s minority ethnic community, who make up 18% of the local population. With migration trends increasing, understanding the experiences and needs of this group is crucial for fostering an inclusive, vibrant community.

There will be no presentations or pitches—this is a relaxed setting focused on genuine conversation. My vision for this event is to provide a platform for shared experiences and insights that will support service provision, policy decisions, and product development, ensuring a truly inclusive experience for everyone through conversations over a planting workshop. It’s a fantastic opportunity for the Chamber and its partners to connect with the community, gain valuable insights, and explore how we can better support these communities together.
