Leeds Community Foundation Seeks New Trustees
Want to help make a real difference? Leeds Community Foundation is seeking new trustees
What are we looking for?
We are looking for individuals who are ambitious for our communities, to join the Leeds Community Foundation board as trustees to take the Foundation forward with their experience, skill, passion and commitment to help the Foundation achieve its vision: a city of opportunity for all. We work together with partners to create positive change with the communities that need it the most, by investing funding and expertise to build a better future now.
Organisation:
Leeds Community Foundation is based in central Leeds and primarily serves the communities of Leeds and Bradford. At the heart of what we do is our grant making and last year we awarded grants of £4.8m across 615 charity and community groups which had a positive impact on the lives of over 100,000 people. We are proud to report this brings the total amount we have distributed to over £38m since we were established in 2005, supporting literally hundreds of thousands of people in some of our most deprived communities in Leeds and Bradford.
Whilst it is important to celebrate this achievement, there is much still to be done and the level of grant applications we receive continues to far outstrip the funding we have available. Trustees play a vital role in the leadership of the Foundation, providing strategic vision and decision making to support our essential work in grant making and generating funds.
Required Skills:
A passion for improving the opportunities for the people of Leeds and / or Bradford.
Strong community networks and/or Business connections.
The ability to work at a senior level as part of a Board and with the Senior Leadership Team, and contribute to the further development of the future vision and direction of LCF.
