First Corfu Flight of 2024

Ryanair adds more flights from Teesside to popular Summer destination

Ryanair has extended its summer season to Corfu – with extra outbound flights running throughout October.

The popular Greek destination has proved a hit with local holidaymakers, but previously came to an end in late September. Thanks to the route’s success, the airline has now committed to continuing the service until 26 October.

The additional flights – on 5, 9, 12 and 26 October – mean that families can take advantage of the destination during the autumn school holidays too.

Ryanair has seen another booming summer so far at Teesside Airport, sending passengers off to holiday hotspots such as Majorca, Faro and Corfu, as well as its year-round service to Alicante.

And Teesside Airport is making it even easier for people to jet off, with 20% off parking for passengers if they book ahead of arrival. Simply visit www.teessideinternational.com to book and enter SUMMERSAVER at checkout.

Tees Valley Mayor Ben Houchen said: “Ryanair’s seen the incredible appetite for its flights and has shown another vote of confidence in our airport and passengers by extending this service – giving more options for people who want to get away on great value holidays.

“Our airport is already on course for another record-breaking year, with Balkan Holidays’ Bulgaria route also literally flying high from Teesside as the firm’s best-performing airport in England. It just proves that if you give local people what they want, it will pay off in spades. I look forward to hearing about the airport’s next success… and yes we are hard at work with the Malaga and Tenerife flights!”

Teesside Airport’s Managing Director Phil Forster said: “We’re always working to secure more popular flights for destinations holidaymakers want to see, but in the meantime it’s fantastic that Ryanair’s listened to our passengers and extended this service.

“Behind the scenes we’ve been doing more than ever to get Teesside Airport’s name out there at major industry events for both routes and businesses, building on our swift turnaround to secure the future of the airport and make it one local people can be proud of.”
