EPG’s Phil Williams a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Water Conservators

Having spent his entire career as an engineer with a passion for sustainable water management, dedicating time and energy contributing to industry guidance and best practice, Phil Williams, director at The Environmental Protection Group had his efforts recognised when he was awarded the honour of becoming a ‘Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Water Conservators’ and in turn, a Freeman of the City of London.

Meeting a strict criterion and submitting evidence of expertise, those given this accolade by the Worshipful Company of Water Conservators are deemed an expert in their field.

Phil commented, “It is a privilege to be awarded this revered title and anything that raises the profile and importance of SuDS is positive for the industry and the country.  With the continuing climate crisis, it’s more important than ever that we invest in sustainable water management to build resilience and futureproof our infrastructure.”

The organisation has recognised the need for competent, level-headed, ethical and science-based contributions to environmental conservation. They are building on these shared positions, amplifying efforts to champion environmental protection.

Joining EPG following his graduation as Engineering Geologist and Physical Geographer, Phil now leads the highly skilled and experienced team offering a range of environmental engineering services with a steadfast focus on sustainability.
