Blake pens new deal

Bradford Bulls are delighted to announce Fijian flyer Waqa Blake has signed a new, full-time two year deal – keeping him at the club until at least the end of the 2027 season.

The 31-year-old initially joined the Bulls on a two-year deal prior to the start of the 2025 campaign, having previously represented Penrith Panthers, Paramatta Eels and St Helens.

Blake made an instant impression amongst the Bradford faithful with his all-action approach with and without the ball – making 31 appearances in his inaugural year in the red, amber and black, scoring 14 tries.

Waqa Blake said:

“I am really happy to be staying, I said when I signed I came here looking to enjoy my rugby again and I have done that and I am grateful to the club and the boys for the great year we had together.

“I also said we had one goal which was to return to Super League and we have achieved that. I wanted to give Super League another crack and help this club get back there, now I am excited to get going and represent this great club and its fans.”

Bradford Bulls Head Coach Kurt Haggerty said:

“When I came on board and Waqa had already signed it was something I was really excited about, he is someone I am really looking forward to working with. I studied his game at St Helens and I was well aware of the qualities that he has, he has shown he’s a proven NRL player and a proven Super League player. We need to get Waqa playing his best rugby again and I think next year we will see the best version of him.”
