Notre Dame Catholic Sixth Form College named finalist for FE College of the Year
Notre Dame Catholic Sixth Form College, based on the outskirts of Leeds City Centre, has been shortlisted in recognition of its commitment to academic excellence, student support and innovative partnerships that help prepare young people for their future.
The college welcomes students from across Leeds and provides an inclusive learning environment focused on both academic success and personal development. Alongside a broad curriculum, students benefit from leadership opportunities, community engagement projects and partnerships with local organisations that provide valuable real-world experience.
Among the initiatives supporting students is the Stella Maris Leadership Award, which encourages young people to demonstrate leadership through acts of service and community involvement.
Principal Justine Barlow said: “We are delighted to be named a finalist for FE College of the Year. This recognition reflects the dedication of our staff and the achievements of our students, who continually demonstrate ambition, resilience and a commitment to making a difference in their communities. As a college rooted in Leeds, we are proud to support young people from across the city to achieve their goals and progress to bright futures.”
The Educate North Awards celebrate outstanding achievements across universities, colleges and higher education institutions throughout the North of England.
The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony later this year.
