Thank you, key workers: Leading North Yorkshire housebuilder donates to key worker services

Leading housebuilder David Wilson Homes is donating to key workers across the region this Easter.

David Wilson Homes is showing its appreciation for key workers by donating Easter eggs to multiple essential services across its operational areas of North Yorkshire, East Yorkshire, South Yorkshire, and Lincolnshire.

Delivering hundreds of eggs across the region, the developer has selected organisations that play vital roles in supporting local communities near to a number of its developments.

York and Scarborough NHS Foundation Trust, near David Wilson Homes’ Castra ParkBramble Wood and Wolds View developments, has received over 100 eggs which will be distributed across the children’s wards.

Becky White, Community Fundraiser at York and Scarborough Hospitals Charity, said: “We’re incredibly grateful for the support from David Wilson Homes this year with its Easter egg donations. These generous gifts will not only help ensure that children staying in hospital over Easter receive a special treat, but also highlight its appreciation for the incredible key workers in our hospitals. The eggs will be distributed across all of our paediatric areas.”

As well as this, the developer is also donating to services nearby its developments in Lincolnshire, South Yorkshire and East Yorkshire, including Bridlington and Doncaster Ambulance Stations, Copmanthorpe Childcare Centre and Humberside Fire and Rescue Service.

Paul Hogan, Sales Director at Barratt Homes Yorkshire East, said: “We are honoured to support local key worker services this Easter. These individuals and services work tirelessly to protect the health and wellbeing of our communities. Their roles can be demanding and emotionally challenging, and they don’t always receive the recognition they deserve.

“We hope these Easter eggs bring a small moment of joy and show our appreciation for the key workers in our communities this Easter.”

David Wilson Homes is committed to supporting key workers in the community by helping them access high-quality homes in the areas they serve. The developer offers a Key Worker Deposit Contribution scheme, in which it can contribute £1,000 towards the buyer’s deposit for every £20,000 of the purchase price, up to £25,000, supporting those in essential roles to step onto, or move up the property ladder.
