Oscrete announces Luke Curran as Head of Sales, Ireland
Oscrete has announced the appointment of Luke Curran as Head of Sales for its Ireland sister company, Adcrete.
Luke brings 15 years of experience across the readymix, asphalt, quarrying and admixture sectors, having built a strong career in technical, operational and commercial roles throughout his time in Ireland and over a decade in Australia.
With an FdSc in Concrete Technology from the University of Derby and a Graduate Certificate in Business Administration from Curtin University, Luke served as Vice President of the Western Australia Committee for the Concrete Institute of Australia and was an active member of the Cement, Concrete and Aggregates Association (CCAA). Luke joins Adcrete to build on the company’s growth and continued success.
Scott Wilson, Oscrete’s Bradford-based Deputy Managing Director & Operations Director: Construction, said: “Adcrete fulfils a critical role for us in its distribution of our construction products across Ireland and Northern Ireland. Luke’s track record in the industry and his expertise is part of our plan to continue Adcrete’s growth, focus on its strengths in the Irish market while ensuring Oscrete’s solutions around concrete admixture manufacture and distribution has the widest possible reach across the UK and Ireland.”
Adcrete, the official sister company of Oscrete in Northern Ireland and Ireland, celebrates its 10th anniversary this year and has announced a significant investment from parent company Christeyns to further enhance service, product availability and technical support for its customers.
Speaking of his new role, Luke said: “Adcrete is a strong and growing business operating in a competitive market and it’s great to join a company and a team who are so ambitious and focussed on continued growth through customer delivery, retention and expansion. This is a great opportunity to reintegrate into the Irish market, meet familiar faces from the past and build new relationships across Ireland.”
Adcrete’s recent investment work has doubled storage capacity and introduced a customer consultation space within the company’s new, on-site office facilities at the team’s Lisburn HQ. The upgrades allow Adcrete to hold increased stock levels, improving stock rotation, sharpen logistics and ensure consistent availability of core products for customers in the precast, ready-mix and mortar markets.
Adcrete Director Gus Vaughan added: “We are all delighted to welcome Luke into our growing team and know his track record and extensive experience in our industry will be a huge asset in supporting, advising and gaining customers.”
