A new era of dining and hospitality arrives in Leeds: Hotel Indigo Leeds and The Banksia officially open
The heart of Leeds city centre is set to welcome an exciting new destination for business, leisure, and dining as Hotel Indigo Leeds and its flagship bar and restaurant, The Banksia, officially open their doors.
Located on 2 Lower Briggate, the boutique hotel blends contemporary comfort with design inspired by the city’s rich industrial heritage, offering guests a stylish stay in one of Leeds’ most vibrant neighbourhoods. The launch marks a significant addition to the region’s hospitality scene, reflecting the city’s dynamic energy and growing appeal as a destination for both business and leisure travellers.
The grand opening event will take place on Thursday 11th September 2025, from 5pm to 10pm, inviting partners, media, and guests to be among the first to experience the unique character of the hotel and its exciting new culinary offering.
At the heart of Hotel Indigo Leeds is The Banksia, a bar and restaurant concept that brings a fresh, contemporary twist to Mediterranean dining. Under the leadership of award-winning chef Craig Rogan, The Banksia offers a menu designed to showcase bold flavours, vibrant small plates, and a fire-inspired dining experience. Guests can look forward to a lively bar setting, inventive cocktails, and live entertainment – making it a new hotspot for Leeds residents, professionals, and visitors alike.
