Copmanthorpe football team scores sponsorship from North Yorkshire housebuilder
Barratt Homes is the proud new sponsor of Copmanthorpe Football Club’s under 10’s girls team.
Located less than a mile from Barratt Homes’ Russet Park development, Copmanthorpe Football Club has been a staple of the community since 1962.
The club strives to foster an inclusive environment which encourages good sportsmanship and development. The club currently offers multiple opportunities for different age groups to partake in football, including Senior, Youth, Girls, Wildcats and Mini Soccer sections.

Pete Marshall, Chairman of Copmanthorpe Football Club, said: “Grassroots clubs like Copmanthorpe FC would not exist without outside help. Fundraising and finding sponsorships is a huge focus for the club every year.
“It is important to us to not only find sponsors that are willing to help financially, but that they also align with our ethos. We are delighted to partner with Barratt Homes as it believes in our development-first, community focused vision.
“Barratt Homes’ sponsorship will help us to fund a new kit for our under-10 girls team who are currently playing in the York League. The girls are really excited to have a new kit after their successful first season and are looking forward to continuing to grow and develop.
“Sport is one of the best ways to bring a community together. As Copmanthorpe continues to grow and thrive, it is important that we build and invest in opportunities for all within the places we live, not just houses. We’re delighted that Barratt Homes shares our commitment to that.”
The developer is currently building at Russet Park in Copmanthorpe. With a selection of one to five bedroom homes available from just £230,000, the brand new, sustainable homes are ideal for families, first-time buyers and young professionals looking for a rural home with easy commuter links to York.

Paul Hogan, Sales Director at Barratt Homes Yorkshire East, said: “We’re delighted to sponsor Copmanthorpe Football Club’s under 10 girls team. It is imperative to us to invest in the communities in which we build.
“It is community hubs such as football clubs that offer an outlet for so many people to socialise, exercise and creates a sense of community within a village. We are looking forward to seeing the team have a fantastic season and the club continue to thrive.”
