Leeds’ largest Chinese bakery, Sing Sing Bakery, opens at the Merrion Centre

Authentic, freshly made Hong Kong-style treats now served at the Merrion Centre.

The Merrion Centre announces the latest arrival of Leeds’ largest Chinese bakery, Sing Sing Bakery, which is now open inside the long-established Sing Kee Chinese Supermarket.

Serving a wide range of authentic, freshly made sweet and savoury items inspired by traditional Hong Kong recipes, Sing Sing Bakery brings a true taste of Chinese culture to the heart of Leeds. The menu includes an extensive selection of baked goods complemented by a drinks menu featuring freshly brewed coffee, speciality teas, and popular Bubble Tea.

Customers can enjoy a variety of options, from light bites to indulgent treats, with vegetarian and Halal-approved cream used in all bakery items. The bakery also offers an extensive range of celebration cakes — including fruit, mocha, and heart-shaped designs — making it the perfect destination for birthdays and special occasions. For those looking for something extra, Sing Sing also provides afternoon tea packages ideal for office gatherings.

With a small internal seating area available, the bakery is open Monday–Saturday (10.30am–6.30pm) and Sundays (10.30am–5.30pm), making it a convenient spot for shoppers, city workers, and food lovers alike.

The official Grand Opening will take place on Saturday, 18th October, featuring exclusive special offers for visitors. The first 50 customers of the day will also receive a complimentary almond and custard bun, and have the chance to be among the first to experience this exciting new addition to the Merrion Centre.
