New Fishermen’s Mission fundraiser in Yorkshire
The only charity dedicated to supporting the fishing community, the Fishermen’s Mission has a new Regional Fundraising Manager in Yorkshire. This is a newly created role for the county and it will be of vital assistance to our clients – active fishermen, former fishermen and their families.
“The region has a strong history of fishing, and our reputation is second to none. We are highly respected for the life changing services we provide. It is vital that an experienced fundraiser such as Kelly Oliver is joining the team to help support the incredible work done within the fishing communities.” Said Alison Godfrey, Business Development Director for the Fishermen’s Mission.
“I am delighted to be joining this amazing charity and to peruse my role to raise vital funds for our community of fishermen and to support them in this currently challenging economic climate. With the help of our wonderful port staff and local community to ensure of fishermen can continue their work in putting food on all our tables” said the new Regional Fundraising Manager for Yorkshire, Kelly Oliver.
Our fishermen and their families are unique. They face challenges in life that nobody else will ever think about meeting and can often feel isolated and forgotten. The Fishermen’s Mission is also unique – the only UK Charity caring solely for our fishermen. We will never forget them; we will always be there for them.
