The show home was expertly designed and styled by award-winning interior designers, Edward Thomas Interiors, meaning homebuyers can be assured they will be up to date with the latest design trends.

Barratt Homes is welcoming visitors to look at the impressive five bedroom Lamberton show home, which promises to appeal to a range of buyers.

Andy Richardson, Managing Director at Edward Thomas Interiors, said: “Our vision for the Lamberton show home was to create a sense of calm, creative energy.

“The village’s history inspired the show home’s colour palette as, in the 1800s, it was home to extensive apple orchards, to the point where it had a variety named after it; the Copmanthorpe Russet. To incorporate this history, our design has apple tones mixed with terracotta, rust and cream.

“Our favourite interpretation of this history, however, is the apple themed child’s bedroom, which features a bespoke apple headboard alongside wall decals and accessories making it bright and playful.”

Russet Park offers a welcoming environment to foster community connections, with Copmanthorpe Cricket Club nearby serving as a local hub for residents to come together.

Andy continues: “To further draw connections with village life, one of the teenage bedrooms is styled for a cricket fan and  features an eye-catching headboard made entirely from old cricket bats, highlighting how homeowners can be imaginative with pre-loved pieces.”

Sustainability is at the heart of this development, with energy efficient features included in every home. These not only benefit the environment but also help homeowners reduce energy consumption and lower their bills.

“Sustainable living was at the forefront of our design for the Lamberton,” adds Andy. “Our design choices were very deliberate and include lots of natural materials and textures as well as upcycled pieces.

“In one of the teenage bedrooms, upcycling features prominently.  We styled this room to have  an eclectic vibe, so it  showcases an upcycled chest of drawers as well as old boxes repainted and wall mounted as shelving.

“Other notable aspects are the turned wood bedside light fittings and headboard, which are indicative of the arts and crafts trend that’s very popular this year,” concludes Andy.

Paul Hogan, Sales Director at Barratt Homes Yorkshire East, said: “This show home is a true reflection of the lifestyle we aim to offer where timeless design meets everyday comfort.

“Every element has been crafted to showcase the quality and attention to detail our buyers can expect.”

Russet Park is steadily growing into a vibrant community, which will feature acres of green open space including a community orchard and play park.

Residents can also benefit from a range of amenities surrounding the development including schools, supermarkets, a library and a golf course as well as being a short drive away from the City of York.
