Yorkshire law firm expands team with four senior recruits and influx of legal talent
Leading commercial law firm Schofield Sweeney has made four senior appointments as part of a significant intake, demonstrating a commitment to enhancing service offerings and operational capabilities.
Among the new hires are Leonie Sutherland, who joins the Real Estate team as Director, from Shoosmiths LLP, and Clare Benger, who joins as a Director in the Regulatory team. Clare specialises in advising clients in regulatory road transport law and will work closely with clients to ensure that they understand their obligations and can demonstrate compliance to the Traffic Commissioner.

Navigating transport regulations can be complex, but I enjoy supporting clients to make meaningful change in the sector. In addition to the legal recruits, the firm has appointed Alison Hill as Finance Director and Steve Crow as the Business Development Director. Steve joins the firm with more than 35 years of experience in professional services, having previously worked for Clarion, PwC and Deloitte. These appointments will provide strategic financial leadership and strengthen relationships with both new and existing clients.

As part of its commitment to strengthen service offering, the firm has appointed four solicitors across litigation, commercial services, regulatory and real estate. As well as expanding its wider team with a number of key hires across residential conveyancing, real estate support, debt recovery, private wealth and succession, and finance.
