Schofield Sweeney supports ‘home city’ again with Bradford Showcase partnership

Leading commercial law firm Schofield Sweeney will play a key role in showcasing the Bradford district’s planning and investment potential at an event alongside the UK Real Estate Investment & Infrastructure Forum (UKREiiF), in Leeds from May 20th-22nd.

Working in partnership with Bradford Council, Schofield Sweeney, which has one of the region’s largest and most experienced real estate legal teams, is a main sponsor of the Bradford Showcase, a three-day event which will shine a spotlight on the Bradford district’s unique opportunities for regeneration, development and growth, in a series of informative and inspirational sessions for developers and investors from around the world.

This is the second year that Schofield Sweeney has sponsored the Bradford Showcase, which will be held at the Mumtaz restaurant in Leeds New Dock.

With headquarters in Bradford and offices in Leeds and Huddersfield, Schofield Sweeney has 25-plus years’ experience delivering commercial investment and development expertise to clients across the globe and is nationally recognised for its highly specialised expertise in Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG), Stamp Duty Land Tax, and Islamic finance.

Its sponsorship of the Bradford Showcase – alongside fellow sponsors Incommunities, ARUP and Montagu Evans – will enable Bradford Council and its partners to host a series of sessions highlighting an array of once-in-a-generation regeneration initiatives and ambitious development plans for the district to key players in the UK and international investment and real-estate markets.

Graham Sweeney, Managing Partner at Schofield Sweeney said: “With headquarters in Bradford and one of the most proficient and experienced real estate teams in the region, we are well aware of the amazing opportunities across the district for investors, funders and developers.

“The Bradford Showcase provides a valuable platform for Bradford Council and its partners to demonstrate just how much the district has to offer to an international real estate audience, so we’re delighted to sponsor the event again.”

Bradford Showcase discussion sessions will focus on the reshaping of the city centre with enhanced public spaces, transport services and sustainable housing; the new Bradford Live entertainment and conference facility and Darley Street Market; a Heritage Action Zone centred on the historic Ivegate and Little Germany areas; key regeneration projects in Keighley and Shipley; and rail and infrastructure investment plans.
