South Leeds adventure attraction launches schools’ transition packages

Following a successful series of Teachers’ Days and Drop-Ins, an adventure play attraction in Leeds is launching four packages for year seven pupils.

Developed by a qualified primary and outdoor educational instructor, Gemma Constantine, Manager of Mission Out at Tingley Garden Centre, the packages have been designed to help new secondary school pupils get to know their classmates and build relationships in a safe, managed environment.

“Our transition packages are a great way to mark the beginning of secondary school and for pupils to hone their social skills and to find like-minded, adventurous people in their class or year group,” said Mrs. Constantine.

At Mission Out we believe in the power of epic outdoor adventure to boost confidence, foster resilience, and develop senses in a varied tactile and encompassing environment. Through thrilling activities such as The High Ropes and The Tower Jump Pillow, these are designed to inspire and challenge pupils and help discover new strengths, setting the stage for a year of personal and academic growth.”

The cost of the packages,  which start at £7.95 per pupil for the Terrain package, includes coach parking and certificates. New to schools for 2024 is the Action package at £11.95, which includes park access plus group team-building activities. For more information, please visit https://missionout.co.uk/school-visits/

Designed to appeal to families, groups and parties, Mission Out features high ropes, water activities, a jump challenge pillow, giant swings, den-building and adventure golf among its many activities.
