York Distillery is planning to reveal the secrets of making world-class spirits with the public.
The boutique distillery in central York will open its doors to the public on National Distillery Day (Friday 1st August) – which is also Yorkshire Day.

Director Natalie Hall said: ‘We’re thrilled to have been invited to join the National Distillery Day celebrations along with some of the country’s leading craft distilleries.
‘It’s the perfect opportunity to invite people to see our beautiful new distillery in the heart of the city. And we’re keen to show people how distilling actually works – to demystify the processes and inspire people.’
York Distillery will be open from 11am until 6pm on the 1st August for this ticket-only event.
Tickets are £5 each which includes a York Gin & Tonic or other drink from their bar – available from yorkdistillery.co.uk/dd

As well as the opportunity to watch the distillers at work, the York Distillery team will be on hand with free gin tasters.
The team will be on hand to chat about their range as well as gin-tasting and gin-making experiences and cocktail masterclasses and the chance to book York Distillery for private parties and events.
The bar will be open from 11am until 6pm, allowing visitors to soak up the atmosphere of one of York’s newest hidden gems.
National Distillery Day is the brainchild of the ‘Actually Made In’ campaign which celebrates authentic craft spirits.
