Yorkshire Garden Centre Group creates new role for multi-site growth

A Bradford-based garden centre group with a site in Scarborough has created a new stock inventory role as it prepares for future growth across its multi-site business.

Yorkshire Garden Centres group, owner of Dean’s Scarborough, has appointed Dan Campbell as its Buying Support Manager to work across all seven sites in West and North Yorkshire.

In his new role, Mr Campbell will be responsible for stock inventory and EPoS for the group and will be working with the buying, finance, and warehouse teams at all sites to implement new operating procedures for all stock related tasks.

Mr Campbell joins the Yorkshire Garden Centres team from Leeds United Football Club, where he was a stock controller for the retail department across multiple sites. He is enthusiastic regarding the opportunities the new role presents: “I am looking forward to meeting new people and working together on the continued growth of the business at this very exciting time.”

“We are delighted to welcome Dan to the YGC team and look forward to supporting him in this new role. His experience in multi-site logistics and stock control will be invaluable to us as we continue to grow,” said Yorkshire Garden Centres’ commercial plant manager, Marc Salama.

Outside work, Mr Campbell enjoys spending time with family and friends, travelling and eating out.

The Yorkshire Garden Centres group comprises Tong, Tingley, Otley and Bingley Garden Centres, plus Dean’s York and Scarborough and the recently acquired Pennine Garden Centre in Huddersfield.
