Teesside holiday deals on offer from one of the region’s newest travel agents
Fantastic deals on holidays from Teesside Airport are now up for grabs as the countdown to the Summer Season and a new route to Malaga begins from Teesside Airport.
Seaside Travel’s newest branch, in Guisborough, has seen plenty of demand for Teesside holidays since opening in the town last year.
And requests for breaks have ramped up in recent weeks ahead of the first flights of the summer taking off next month.
The firm’s branch is offering three nights in Torremolinos half board for just £239 per person – flying out on Teesside’s newest route to Malaga on 5 May.

The new Ryanair route opens the door to the Costa Del Sol from Teesside for the first time in a generation – with the chance to see the Nerja caves, the Picasso Museum, in Malaga city itself, or to grab some warm spring sunshine on the miles of golden beaches.
Natalie Burrows, from Seaside Travel, said: “It’s really picking up.
“A lot of people don’t necessarily want to travel to the bigger airports – and there are people who are adamant they only want Teesside, which works massively in our favour.
“We’ve had great pick-up on window deals and Facebook deals when they know the option from Teesside is there.”
Another big Teesside hit with customers this coming summer has been the Greek isle of Corfu flying with Ryanair – with the weekly service to the stunning island already racking up bookings from its first flights starting on 7 June.
Natalie added: “There’s been a lot of interest recently when we’ve been putting deals on. It’s been a big one – and I think Malaga will do very well, too.”
Teesside’s first of its twice weekly flights to Malaga jets out on Monday, 31 March, with flights operating until 23 October.
Other holidays from Teesside include:
- Ryanair flights to Majorca begin on 30 March twice a week until 23 October.
- Flights to Faro with Ryanair begin on 2 April on Wednesdays and Saturdays until 25 October.
- Alicante retains flights on Ryanair all year round with three flights weekly.
- TUI flights to Dalaman, Turkey, return on Tuesdays this summer from May.
- TUI trips to Majorca begin in May taking the tally to four flights per week to offer great choice on flexibility for your holidays.
- Weekly flights to Bourgas, Bulgaria, on Balkan Holidays starting in May.
If you’re looking for something further afield, people can get worldwide from Teesside to over 160 destinations with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines’ three daily flights to Amsterdam Schiphol.
Seaside Travel has been a longstanding supporter of the airport – and the firm’s new store in Guisborough has picked up healthy trade as the town’s only travel agent.
“We’re getting our name and Teesside’s name out there,” added Natalie.
“When we put the Corfu deals on, I don’t think some people realised you can get there from Teesside. It’s not a destination people often shout about but it’s beautiful regardless.”

The convenience of Teesside has also been a good selling point for the Seaside Travel team.
“Benidorm is iconic and does sell well – it’s so well known. With Malaga coming into it, I think that will do the same,” said Natalie.
The team also has a last-minute deal available if you’re looking for a week in Benidorm – with prices at £548 per person, including breakfast, flying out next Saturday (22 February) and returning on 1 March.
Tees Valley Mayor Ben Houchen said: “It’s great to hear Seaside Travel are flying the flag for our airport.
“We’ve secured a fantastic new route to Malaga and I know the airport team continues to speak to carriers day-in day-out about bringing more of the flights the people of Teesside, Darlington and Hartlepool desperately want.
“The backing of local travel agents really is important – and it shows we’re making a mark on high streets across our region and beyond.
“We’re doing an awful lot across the whole airport when it comes to attracting big name firms and jobs – the more people use Teesside, the more flights we get, so I’d urge everyone to choose us and grab a great deal.”
Phil Forster, Managing Director of Teesside Airport, added: “Behind the scenes we’ve been working to get the Airport’s name out there at major industry events – and keeping the region’s fantastic network of travel agents informed is a big part of our continued turnaround plan.
“We have a great partnership with agents and operators – and while there are still challenges ahead in the aviation industry, we’re working very hard to keep flights, show people just how convenient we are, and attract even more routes.”
